 Growing Leadership The eQuality Scholarship Collaborative honors and encourages northern and central California students for their service to the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender community by providing scholarships for post-secondary education at approved institutions. In 2009, 12 $5000 scholarships will be awarded.

In addition to its own scholarships, the Collaborative administers two other scholarships:

  • $5000 scholarships for students enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited nursing program in California. This scholarship is funded by The Kaiser Permanente Northern California Fund for Health Education. The four recipients are selected by KP Pride.
  • A $2000 scholarship for a medical student attending school in California or a California resident attending medical school elsewhere in the U.S. This scholarship is funded by The Permanente Medical Group. The recipient is selected by KP Pride.
